Printers

Connect printers through PrintNode and choose the correct output format.

Connect printers through PrintNode, then choose them when printing or configuring a packing station.

Setting Up Printers

  1. Install the printer and its manufacturer driver on the workstation. Confirm it prints correctly from the operating system.
  2. Install and sign in to the PrintNode client on that workstation, then connect PrintNode to ShipOS.
  3. Sync printers from the integration and open Settings → Printers (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab).
  4. Edit the printer's Name and Format so workers can identify it and select the correct output size.
  5. Select the printer in your packing station or print dialog and test a label and document as applicable.

Keep the workstation and PrintNode client online. Connection support depends on the printer, its driver, and PrintNode; a Bluetooth connection alone does not register a device in ShipOS.

Match the ShipOS format to the loaded media and the printer driver's paper size. Configure driver options such as darkness, resolution, orientation, and duplex in the printer software. Disable scaling when it would resize a label or barcode.

Before using a printed label, confirm the address and tracking barcode are complete and readable.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing or offline printer: Check power, the workstation connection, the operating-system print queue, and the PrintNode client. Sync the integration again after fixing the connection.
  • Wrong size or clipped label: Check media size, ShipOS Format, driver size, and print scaling.
  • Poor print quality: Follow the manufacturer's cleaning and media-loading instructions, then test again.
  • Misprint: Reprint the existing label if its shipment details are correct. Buying a new label is unnecessary for a paper or print-quality problem. Destroy unusable copies and avoid applying the same label to multiple packages.

If shipment details need changing, follow Shipping Labels for voiding and replacement; a void request does not guarantee a refund.
