Vendors

Store supplier contacts and connect vendors to products, purchase orders, and work orders.

Vendors represent the suppliers and service providers used for purchasing and production work.

Preparing video

Go to ShipOS → Vendors (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab).

Create a vendor

  1. Click Create Vendor.
  2. For a 3PL, optionally select the merchant that owns the vendor. Leave the merchant empty to create a vendor owned by the fulfiller team.
  3. Enter the vendor and company names.
  4. Add the address and country.
  5. Add the contact person's name, email, and phone when available.
  6. Add internal notes.
  7. Save the vendor.

Vendor ownership controls which merchant context can use the record. Choose it carefully when several merchants use suppliers with similar names.

Connect products

Open a product from ShipOS → Products (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab). The Vendors tab shows its supplier relationships.

To change them, click Update Product, open Vendors, select the suppliers, click Confirm Selection, and save with Update Product. Vendors must belong to the same merchant context as the product.

The product's internal SKU and Manufacturer Part Number remain separate from a vendor's own product reference; the Vendors selector edits supplier associations.

Use vendors on orders

Select a vendor when creating or updating:

Open a vendor from ShipOS → Vendors (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab). The vendor detail page groups its related Products, Purchase Orders, and Work Orders into separate tabs. Use those tables to move from the supplier record to current operational work.

Update or delete a vendor

Use the vendor actions to edit contact, address, or note information. Available actions depend on your permissions and whether the vendor belongs to the current team or merchant.

Before deleting a vendor, review its related products and orders. Historical operational records may still display saved vendor information after the relationship changes.
