Cartons

Save a carton's dimensions and tare weight so packers can select the correct packaging without entering its measurements each time.

Creating Cartons

1. Open ShipOS → Settings → Cartons (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab).
2. Click Create Carton and enter a recognizable name.
3. Enter length, width, height, and the empty packaging weight, including typical void fill. Check the measurement and weight units.
4. Set it as the default if appropriate, then click Create Carton.

Measure the packaging you actually use. Recheck saved dimensions and weight when a supplier changes materials or box sizes.

Using Cartons

Select the carton during packing, Manual Fulfillment, or Bulk Ship. Review the resulting package measurements before generating labels. Use the fulfillment workflow's package fields for one-off packaging.

Material billing is configured through Rate Cards; see Charges for how usage is billed.

Merchant-Specific Configuration

Open the merchant in ShipOS → Merchants (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) to configure its default and allowed cartons.

When Enforce enabled cartons is on, only the selected cartons are available for that merchant. Without enforcement, the team cartons remain available. Check these settings and your permissions if a carton is missing during packing.

• Import Cartons to create or update packaging options in bulk.
• Export Cartons for the CSV template and bulk-edit workflow.
