Reports & Exports

Find the right Labor report, export operational data, and prepare accurate shift or client summaries

Labor reporting lives with the workflow that provides its context. Use Performance (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) for comparison, open a worker from Members (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) for one person's detail, use the Hourly Board (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) for shift output, run the Activity Entries Report (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) for a date range, and open the related operational record for client-linked labor.

Activity Entries Report

Use the Activity Entries Report when you need a team-level Labor record for a date range.

  1. Go to ShipOS → Reports (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab).
  2. Select Run Report and choose Activity Entries Report.
  3. Enter a start date and end date.
  4. Optionally narrow the report to one warehouse, job type, or entry type.
  5. Name and run the report.

The completed report includes:

  • Total entries
  • Total hours
  • Average entry duration
  • Unique workers
  • Hours by job
  • An Activity Entries table with worker, clock-in, clock-out, job, entry type, duration, and status

Export the table when you need row-level data. Export the chart separately when you need the summarized job breakdown.

Schedule a Recurring Report

Go to ShipOS → Reports → Schedules (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) to create a recurring Activity Entries Report. Choose the cadence, run time, timezone, rolling reporting period, and the same optional Labor filters.

Use a schedule for routine weekly review or payroll preparation, but still review open entries and corrections before submitting data to an outside system. See Reports for schedule management.

Labor Hours on Operational Records

Work orders, purchase orders, and cycle counts can include a Labor Hours report with:

  • Workers clocked in now
  • All activity attached to the record
  • Activity or job
  • Work window and duration
  • Status and notes
  • Total workers and total duration

When editing is allowed, managers can also Log Hours, edit a completed entry, or delete an eligible completed entry. Active work must be clocked out before deletion.

Use these reports for client and operational attribution. They are more informative than a team-wide report when the question is about one work order, inbound receipt, or count.

Prepare a Clean Export

Before downloading a report:

  1. Confirm the warehouse.
  2. Confirm the date or date range.
  3. Clear filters that should not apply.
  4. Review open work entries.
  5. Correct missed clock-outs and wrong job assignments.
  6. Confirm the related operational record is correct.
  7. Export and retain the filter context with the file.

An open entry may continue accumulating time and can make a shift or client total incomplete.

Payroll and Client Billing

Labor tracks operational time. Your payroll or HR system applies wage, tax, deduction, overtime, and payroll policy. For 3PL billing, linked Labor hours can create or support client charges when billing rules and automatic billing are configured.

Keep these uses distinct:

  • Payroll-bound export — reviewed worked-time input that your payroll system will apply pay rules to
  • Operational report — where warehouse time was spent
  • Client labor charge — what a customer is billed under the applicable rate and rounding rule

Troubleshooting

Export Is Empty

  • Confirm the date, warehouse, and filters.
  • Confirm completed activity exists for the selected view.
  • Check that the worker performed the selected job type.
  • For a related record, confirm Labor was attached to that record.
  • Confirm the viewer has Reports, Labor Performance, or Time Tracking access as appropriate for that view.

Totals Do Not Match

  1. Check for open entries.
  2. Compare the worker from Members (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) with the job or related-record report.
  3. Look for no-job time, breaks, or incorrect job switches.
  4. Confirm the reports use the same date, warehouse, and scope.
  5. Review billing rounding separately from raw worked duration.

A Worker Is Missing

Open the worker from Members (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab), verify the entry and warehouse, then confirm the current report's filters. Picker-only reports will not include non-picking work.
