Shopify Onboarding

Connect a merchant's Shopify store and route orders to Cybership fulfillment locations.

Complete merchant setup before connecting the merchant's Shopify store.

Before You Begin

Confirm that:

  • The merchant team exists in Cybership.
  • You can select that team in Cybership.
  • You are signed in to the correct Shopify store.
  • Your Shopify account can install apps.
  • The merchant's Cybership warehouses are configured.
  1. In Cybership, open ShipOS → Settings → Integrations (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab).
  2. Select Add Integration, choose Shopify, and select Install Shopify App.
  3. On the Cybership Shopify App Store listing, select Install.
  4. On the Link Shopify Shop page, choose the merchant team, select Link Shop, and confirm the selection.
  5. Review the access requested by Shopify and approve the installation.

Link the store to the merchant team, not the fulfiller team. If the team is missing, confirm that your Cybership account is a member of that team.

For Shopify's current app-installation flow, see Installing and setting up apps.

Verify the Connection

After installation:

  1. Open the merchant from ShipOS → Merchants (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) and confirm that the Shopify shop is listed.
  2. Confirm that the merchant's Cybership warehouses appear as Shopify fulfillment locations.
  3. Review the merchant's products and confirm that Shopify product listings are linked by SKU.

Duplicate SKUs can link multiple Shopify listings to one Cybership product. Review unexpected product links before accepting live orders.

For more integration details, see the Shopify integration guide.

Add Cybership Locations to the Shipping Profile

Shopify shipping profiles control which fulfillment locations can use a set of shipping zones and rates.

  1. In Shopify, open Settings → Shipping and delivery.
  2. Open the shipping profile used by the merchant's products.
  3. Under Fulfillment locations, add the Cybership fulfillment locations.
  4. Confirm that the intended shipping zones and rates apply to the location group.
  5. Save the profile.

Do not create a “warehouse shipping zone.” Shopify shipping zones are countries and regions served by a group of fulfillment locations.

See Shopify's guides to shipping profiles and managing fulfillment locations in a profile.

Configure Automatic Order Routing

If the store has multiple fulfillment locations, configure Shopify to prefer the Cybership locations:

  1. In Shopify, open Settings → Shipping and delivery → Order routing.
  2. Select Add rule → Use ranked locations.
  3. Rank the Cybership locations above locations that should not fulfill these orders.
  4. Keep any other routing rules the merchant still needs.
  5. Save the routing configuration.

See Shopify's guide to setting up order routing for the current controls.

Change an Order's Location Manually

To reassign an unfulfilled order in Shopify:

  1. Open Orders and select the order.
  2. In the Unfulfilled or In progress section, open the … menu and select Change location.
  3. Choose the items to move.
  4. Select the appropriate Cybership fulfillment location.
  5. Confirm the change.

See Shopify's instructions for changing a fulfillment location.

Test the Setup

Place a test order using a product linked to Cybership. Confirm that:

  • Checkout offers the expected shipping rate.
  • Shopify assigns the order to a Cybership fulfillment location.
  • The order appears under the correct merchant in Cybership.
  • The order lines are linked to the expected Cybership products.

Troubleshooting

The merchant team is missing

Confirm that your account belongs to the merchant team. A team administrator can add you under MerchantOS → Settings → Team Members (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab).

A Cybership fulfillment location is missing in Shopify

Confirm that the Shopify integration is connected to the correct merchant and that the corresponding warehouse is configured in Cybership. Then review the shipping profile's fulfillment locations.

Products are not linked correctly

Compare the Shopify variant SKUs with the Cybership product SKUs. Correct duplicate or missing SKUs before processing live orders.

Checkout does not show the expected rate

Review the product's shipping profile, its fulfillment-location group, and the shipping zones and rates assigned to that group.
