Shelf Builder

Create hundreds of warehouse locations at once using hierarchical structure (racks, shelves, bins). Generates location labels as PDF.

Access

1. Navigate to ShipOS → Inventory → Locations (opens the Cybership dashboard in a new tab) (warehouse must be selected)
2. Click Actions dropdown, then select Build Shelves

Structure

Prefix: Zone-Aisle (e.g., 1-AA)

• Final format: Prefix-Rack-Shelf-Bin (e.g., 1-AA-01-01-01)

Racks: Physical storage units

• Automatically numbered: 01, 02, 03...

Shelves: Horizontal levels within racks

• Automatically numbered: 01, 02, 03...
• Set bin count per shelf (1-99)

Location Properties:

• Location Type: Optional categorization
• Pickable: Can be used for order picking (default: most should be pickable)
• Sellable: Inventory counts toward available stock (default: most should be sellable)
• Priority: Higher number = higher priority for picking

Settings

Global Settings: Apply same config to all bins on shelf (faster)

Individual Bin Settings: Configure each bin separately, bulk actions available

Create

1. Configure structure (prefix, racks, shelves, bins, properties)
2. Switch to Preview Mode to verify configuration
3. Click Create All Locations
4. System validates naming conflicts and creates all locations
5. PDF labels auto-open in new tab for printing

After creation:

• All locations are immediately available for use
• Barcode labels can be printed and attached to physical locations

Example

Layout:

• Prefix: 1-AA
• 3 racks × 4 shelves × 6 bins = 72 locations
• Names: 1-AA-01-01-01 through 1-AA-03-04-06

If names conflict, correct the reported names before retrying. To extend a layout, use unused rack numbers or a new prefix, or create the additional locations individually.
