Gaylords

Gaylords List

The gaylords screen shows all gaylords for the current warehouse. Use the segment control to filter by Open, Closed, or All.

Each gaylord displays:

Carrier name with color-coded left border
Gaylord number and name
Number of scanned labels
Status badge (Open or Closed)

Quick Scan

Quick Scan lets you scan any shipping label and assign it to a gaylord without opening a specific gaylord first.

Tap Quick Scan from the gaylords list
Scan a shipping label barcode
The system looks up the label and finds open gaylords matching that carrier in the current warehouse
Select which gaylord to add the label to

This is useful when processing mixed-carrier packages. Scan each label, and the system routes it to the correct gaylord.

Tap a gaylord to view its details and manage labels.

Scanning Labels

Tap the Scan button to enable scanning mode
Scan a shipping label barcode
The label is automatically added to the gaylord
The Active Scans tab shows real-time feedback as you scan

The system validates each scan:

Label carrier must match the gaylord carrier
Label cannot already be assigned to another gaylord
Gaylord must be in Open status

Viewing Labels

Two tabs are available:

Active Scans: Live feedback showing labels scanned in the current session
All Items: Complete list of all shipping labels in the gaylord

Closing a Gaylord

Tap the Close button on an open gaylord
Confirm the action

Closing a gaylord is permanent and cannot be undone.

Closing preserves the linked and the container's handoff history. If a customer later disputes receiving a , this history helps the warehouse verify whether the label was scanned into a that was closed for pickup. Carrier tracking remains the record of what happened after pickup.
