Mobile Cycle Counting

Count the physical stock in your assigned cycle, review discrepancies, and finish the count to apply accepted adjustments. See Manage Inventory Counts for scheduling and recounts.

Starting a Count

1. Navigate to Cycle Count tab in the mobile app
2. Tap a cycle count from the list to open it
3. Tap the cycle count again to begin counting

The cycle count overview shows the assigned user, due date, total product count, and total location count. Tap the count to start the counting workflow.

Cycle Count Types

Products — Count specific products across your warehouse. The system presents each product SKU and lists every location where it's stocked. You enter the counted quantity per location, and the system flags any differences from what's on record.

Locations — Count location by location. The system guides you through each physical location in sequence. At each stop, you count every product stored there and save before moving to the next. Use this when you want to verify everything at a given area of the warehouse in one pass.

Counting Locations

Navigate to a Location

The counting screen shows the next location to count. To begin counting at a location:

• Scan the location barcode: Automatically navigates to the location and starts counting
• Tap Go to [Location Name]: Manually navigate to the location and begin counting
• Tap Skip This Location: Opens a skip reason prompt before skipping

When skipping a location, select a reason:

• Inaccessible — location cannot be physically reached
• Safety Hazard — unsafe to count at this time
• Other — any other reason
• Skip without reason — skip with no reason recorded

Skipped locations are added back to the end of the queue with the skip reason recorded. Once you navigate to a location, the product counting interface opens.

Counting Products

Scan Products

Scan a product barcode to increment the count by 1. Scan repeatedly to add multiple units.

Manual Entry

For each product, adjust the count:

• - button: Decrease by 1
• + button: Increase by 1
• Tap the number to type directly
• Clear: Set to 0
• Max: Set to expected quantity

Add Notes

Tap Add Note to attach a note to the current location.

Troubleshooting

Saving Location Counts

After counting all products at a location, save your counts by either:

• Scan the location barcode again: Automatically saves and returns to the next location
• Tap Save Count: Manually save and continue

If discrepancies exist, you'll be prompted to either save anyway or return to recounting. After saving, the app returns to the counting screen with the next location.

Repeat this process for each location in the cycle count.

Finishing the Count

After all locations are counted:

1. The app displays "All Locations Complete!"
2. Tap Finish Cycle Count
3. The cycle count status changes to Completed

You can view completed cycle counts and their results in the cycle count list.
