Mobile Putaway

Move received or staged stock into storage with a putaway list. Confirm the source, destination, lot, expiration, and quantity before each transfer.

Creating Putaway Lists

Putaway lists can be created in two ways:

Workflow

Draft Stage

When a putaway list is in Draft status:

1. Tap a product to open the quantity selection dialog
2. The dialog shows all source locations containing this product
3. For each source location:
   • Use +/- buttons to adjust quantity
   • Type a quantity directly in the input field
   • Tap Max to select all available quantity from that location
   • Tap Clear to reset quantity to zero
4. Tap Confirm to save your selections and close the dialog
5. Tap Put away to transition the putaway list to In Progress status

While a list is Draft, scanning another location adds its products; scanning a product lets you select a source to add.

In Progress Stage

When a putaway list is in In Progress status:

1. Tap a product or scan its barcode to begin the transfer process
2. If the product doesn't have a destination location assigned, you'll be taken to the location selection screen
3. On the location selection screen, use the segment control to choose from:
   • Suggested: Algorithm-scored suggestions (up to 3) with badges such as Best Match, Same Lot, Has Product, or Empty
   • Same SKU: Locations that already contain this product (matching SKU, lot code, and expiration date), with pagination
   • Empty: Available empty locations for storage, with pagination
4. On the transfer screen:
   • Use +/- buttons to adjust the transfer quantity
   • Type a quantity directly in the input field
   • Tap Clear to reset quantity to zero
   • Tap Max to set the maximum transferable quantity
   • Scan the product barcode to increment quantity by 1
   • Scan the destination location barcode to complete the transfer immediately with the current quantity
5. Tap Confirm to complete the transfer

Completing Putaway

• Tap Complete when finished with all transfers
• If quantities remain unputaway, you'll be asked to confirm partial completion
• Picking eligibility depends on the destination location and inventory state

Location Selection

When selecting a destination location during the In Progress stage, use the segment control to switch between three types of selectable locations:

Suggested

Algorithm-scored suggestions (up to 3) for where to put the product. Suggestions are ranked by factors such as same lot, same product, location type match, emptiness, and zone preference. Each suggestion can show badges:

• Best Match — top-ranked suggestion
• Same Lot — location already holds this exact lot (lot code + expiration)
• Has Product — location holds this product (different lot)
• Empty — location has no stock
• LPN — for LPN locations
• Unpickable — if the location is not pickable

Same SKU

Locations that already contain this product (matching SKU, lot code, and expiration date). List is paginated. Each location shows:

• Location name
• Location type (if configured)
• On-hand units
• LPN and Unpickable badges when applicable
• Parent location name (for LPNs)

Empty Locations

Available empty locations for storing products. List is paginated. Each location shows:

• Location name
• Location type (if configured)
• LPN and Unpickable badges when applicable
• Parent location name (for LPNs)

Location types you can select

Only static and LPN location kinds can be used as putaway destinations. Tote locations cannot be used; if you scan a tote barcode, the app will show an error.

Location restrictions

• Hospital locations are not available for putaway
• Source locations (where you're putting away from) are automatically excluded from suggestions and from the Same SKU list
• You can also scan a location barcode that isn't in the current list; the app will look it up and reject it if it's a tote or hospital location
